Audi, a German automaker is expected to come to Indian shores with its strong and sturdy car model- Audi A1. India is known as the second fastest growing auto market that holds 70 percent of the market share in the small car segment. According to experts, the buyers welcome the small luxury cars as well in this segment such as the BMW Mini, Volkswagen Beetle, Fiat 500 and now, the soon to be launched A1. The cars are known for their fuel efficiency and top of the line features which will make certain that anyone would turn heads when these are drove down roads. The new Audi A1 car model is speculated to be sold in showrooms at Rs 18 lakh to Rs 19 lakh excluding the import duties. In line with this, a special sports model will also be launched. This new car model will come with 1.4 liter engine and suffixed with Audi’s S-Tronic seven speed automatic transmission. It also has 90 kW, 1.4 litre turbocharged fuel stratified injection (TFSI) engine which is capable of generating a maximum torque of 200 Nm at 1500 rpm enables the Audi A1 to speedily run from 0 to 100 kph in a matter of 8.9 seconds accelerating it to a maximum speed of 203 kph. It comes in a stout and masculine frame which will be affixed with German technology and will come in both diesel and petrol car models. The speculations of enthusiasts say that the compact Audi A1 is going to enter the Indian auto market by the last quarter of 2011. Aside from the athletic look and technologically advanced made, the car is also loaded with various features which will definitely spoil passengers into luxury. These features include Bluetooth, ipod connectivity, climate control, multi-function steering whole and many others. Audi in India is rapidly capturing the Indian auto market that in fact, in the last 11 months of 2011, the company was able to sell 2, 803 cars in the domestic auto sector as compared to the previous year’s figure which only recorded 1, 645 cars. The German car brand in India is accounted for an impressive growth of 70.40 per cent. The cars from Audi are known for perfection in terms of technology, style and advanced features. As of now, there are seven car models that Audi rules in the auto market and these are the following: Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi A8, Audi Q5, Audi Q7, Audi A8 and Audi TT.
